Information entered into tools

Calculator inputs are processed by the calculator code in the visitor’s browser. Repair Tech Library does not provide an account or application database that stores those values. Microsoft Clarity may collect page-interaction telemetry while a visitor uses the site, so visitors should not enter personal, customer, or sensitive information into a calculator or other interactive field.

Microsoft Clarity analytics

Repair Tech Library uses Microsoft Clarity project y6h05jtp51 to understand how readers navigate and use the website. Microsoft states that Clarity can collect page, device, diagnostic, and interaction information such as page views, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, window changes, and input events. Clarity can use DOM and interaction data to provide heatmaps and reconstructed session playback. Microsoft states that text entered into input boxes is masked.

Review the official Clarity data-collection documentation, Clarity FAQ, and Microsoft Privacy Statement for current details about Microsoft’s processing and privacy controls.

Microsoft states that Clarity typically uses first-party and third-party cookies to connect page views, distinguish browsers, and provide analytics and session features. Cookie availability and Clarity functionality can vary by browser settings, region, and consent status. Microsoft requires a valid consent signal for full Clarity functionality in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

See the official Clarity cookie documentation for current cookie names, purposes, and consent requirements. Visitors can manage cookies and privacy preferences through their browser and supported privacy controls.

GitHub Pages hosting logs

The site is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub states that a visitor’s IP address is logged and stored for security purposes when a GitHub Pages site is visited. Review the GitHub Pages data-collection note and GitHub Privacy Statement for GitHub’s current practices.

Contact and public issue data

Repair Tech Library does not provide an on-site contact form or email service. Contact and correction messages use a public GitHub issue tracker and are handled under GitHub’s terms and privacy practices. Do not include private, customer, device, payment, or other sensitive information in a public issue.

The inventory CSV is a static file with no macros. External websites have their own privacy and analytics practices. A link does not mean Repair Tech Library controls the destination or its data processing.

Policy changes

Adding another analytics service, advertising, accounts, forms, checkout, or other data-processing feature requires a privacy review and an updated disclosure before deployment. Material changes receive an update date and revision-note entry.
